Diet No Weight Loss: I am on a diet and I am not losing weight!

The problem of excessive body weight has been and probably always will be a topic that will address a significant proportion of the world population. Unfortunately, the most used diets are the ones that are fad diets, which determine the "yo-yo" effect and do not help the long-term weight loss process.

There are a number of people that especially control the amount of food ingested, maintaining a negative energy balance and managing to stay thin. Another category of people permanently support the idea of losing weight through diet, but without results. Diets with no weight loss are very common.

Honestly speaking, this last category includes people who probably make a number of less obvious nutritional mistakes. Overweight associated diseases may be a direct cause of these negative results, but these situations are, statistically speaking, much rarer. Next we present some reasons that stop the diet from showing the desired results. Here are the diet no weight loss top reasons:
1. Constipation – bowel should be emptied at least once a day regularly and effortlessly. An abundant consumption of fresh fruits, green vegetables, whole grains, and fresh water can provide an impeccable bowel.
2. Food intolerances – there are a number of foods the body does not tolerate, but the reaction of the immune system to this intolerance occurs most often after very long periods of time, even years. Very commonly used foods like wheat, sugar or dairy products are only a few food allergens that can make the body stop the weight loss process.
3. Lack of regular physical activity – this is essential because it increases the metabolic rate and helps the process of lipolysis.
4. Endocrine disorders, especially thyroid – this gland controls the metabolism of the whole body and excess sugar, caffeine and alcohol overwhelm and in the end exhaust it.
5. Mineral and vitamin deficiencies – element deficiencies such as magnesium or calcium can lead to weight gain. These elements are also lost through the excessive use of laxatives and diuretics.
6. Insufficient water intake – water should be consumed in sufficient quantity (1 oz water/2 lb body/ day) for good digestion, for a complete hydration and especially for a more complete removal of toxins from the body.
7. Excessive stress –determines the formation of toxic substances in the blood, which translates to the behavioral level in fatigue, agitation or nervousness. Stress disrupts the digestive function, which actually means an increase in weight.

These are a few of the factors that influence our bodies and the way they function. The good news is that by controlling what we ingest, we can control and maintain the very necessary balance of our bodies. You have to control your diet not let your diet control you. This makes us healthy and slim!
