Celebrity Weight Loss

You may recognize her from the hit show Days Of Our Lives as villainous Sami Brady or as host for the fourth season of NBC’s weight-loss reality show, The Biggest Loser, but there’s a role Alison Sweeney is most proud of playing, as a hot mom to her two children. How does she manage a household while looking fit as she does? Here are some weight loss tips from Alison herself.

"I once had problems with my diet when I was younger." Alison admits. "I loved fast food, I had a sweet tooth, I never bothered with home cooked meals, so I gained a lot of weight."

Alison-Sweeney.jpgAt present, the 33-year-old celebrity has learned to snack on vegetables when she’s hungry. She takes complex carbohydrates, claiming whole grains keep her feeling full and energized longer than the refined kind.

Alison Sweeney’s diet regimen typically consists of egg whites with salsa, some oatmeal and English breakfast tea for breakfast; a salad of greens, chickpeas, mushrooms, balsamic vinegar and turkey for lunch and chicken salad for dinner. She occasionally indulges in her favorite chocolate treat or a Coke Zero, in moderation, of course.

For Alison Sweeney’s exercise plan, she does yoga and a lot of running on the treadmill. Along with this, she does three to four 30 to 40 minute cardio exercises every week as well. Twice or thrice a week, she undergoes resistance and strength training by doing sit-ups and crunches.

"I got to the gym to build muscle and lose weight." She says. “You’re going to look leaner and more toned. I’m now a size 4. At my heaviest, I was in the 10/12 neighborhood."

Alison advises moms like her not to stop the battle with the bulge. For her, women can be better mothers when they make it one of their priorities to take care of themselves.
