Lauren Conrad’s Diet and Exercise Tips that Keep Her Great Figure

The Hills star and true-blue California Girl Lauren Conrad has the kind of body that stays toned all year round, but this is not the case, as Lauren says so herself, because her fit physique is something she works hard for, and is only achieved by proper diet and regular physical activity.

"My schedule is as busy as ever." She says. "But it’s not an excuse for me to slack off. I’ve been eating healthier than ever before."

Her diet regimen is usually composed of protein and vegetables, but also treats herself sometimes especially during her cheat days with carbohydrate-rich foods. The 6 mini meals per day is a great diet that helps in speeding up her metabolism and keeping her blood sugar levels in the normal range.

On a typical day, Lauren Conrad’s diet would include:

  • Breakfast: skimmed milk for breakfast. T oatmeal or Kashi cereal.
  • Lunch: grilled chicken salad or chunk light tuna with feta cheese on a bed of lettuce.
  • Snacks:  low-fat cottage cheese and 10 raw almonds.
  • Dinner: lean fish, about 4 to 6 ounces, or chicken breast served with a salad or roasted vegetables.

Lauren Conrad’s exercise routine is developed by her personal trainer Jarett Del Bene and includes light weight trainings, cardio exercise using the treadmill, intense circuit training and boxing in her routine. This is a combination of regular punching and kickboxing that helps in increasing strength and improving body condition.

Lauren also does hiking for 45 minutes in the LA Runyon Canyon when she’s not hitting the gym.

“The first place I lost weight was my little belly. Now I’m happy about my arms because they were a little mushy!” She adds. “When I work out regularly and eat healthy, I feel better.”
