David Beckham’s Diet and Exercise Routine: a Rocking Body

For well over a decade, soccer superstar David Beckham has cultivated an image that transcends football. As one of the most decorated and recognizable athletes of his generation, he has emerged an international icon, whose life is a dizzying mosaic of fame and fortune. And if there’s one thing more this 6 foot tall hunk of a man has perfected, it’s his worldwide heartthrob appeal. His impossibly symmetrical, square-jawed visage has graced countless billboards and magazine covers, perched atop his impeccable pecs and ripped abs has made him the stuff dreams were made of.

This kind of diet allows the consumption of meats, cheeses, fats, and some leafy green vegetables just while maintaining the intake of carbohydrates at a minimal level. David Beckham’s diet also keeps him from consuming any avoiding sugar, white flour, and starchy vegetables. This is why he doesn’t consume any diet drinks and instead drinks a lot of water.

On the other hand, David Beckham’s exercise routine contains both weight training and endurance training. Bodybuilding exercises includes lift, squats, bench press, bent-over/cable rows, shoulder presses and standing barbell curls. Most athletes like David utilize heavier weights to increase their upper body functional strength. Bench pressing can also help in keeping the muscular balance in the lower body part.

The bulk part of David Beckham’s exercise routine comes from his football training sessions that are supplemented with running as well as cycling. Footballers like David also do specific circuit training routine and include arsenal speed work and plyometric training routines, and classic old school circuit training like shuttle runs, squat thrusts, jumping jacks, skipping, jogging forwards and backwards, plus abs/core workouts and upper-body conditional with crunches, leg raises and press-ups (push ups) in their exercise routine.

Staying active and playing soccer keeps him lean. The fact is, playing soccer for an hour can certainly burn 700 to 800 calories.
