Anne Hathaway’s Diet and Exercise Tips: Simple But Effective

Anne Hathaway truly is America’s Sweetheart. The 29 year old, brown-eyed, American born actress first charmed her way into our hearts with the role of teenage klutz Mia Thermopolis in "The Princess Diaries" before proving her acting chops in movies like "Brokeback Mountain" and "Love and Other Drugs." 

"It’s a big change. I wanted to make that change." She admits, referring to her transformation from playing teens to more mature roles.

To portray her memorable character Andy in the top grossing film "The Devil Wears Prada" alongside Oscar Awardee Meryl Streep, Anne had to change her diet to lose some weight. Anne Hathaway’s diet is composed of small portions from a meal delivery service mainly providing vegetables, fruits and fish.

Anne Hathaway was on a vegan diet for 10 years.

"I’m not a vegetarian anymore, but when I do eat meat, I make sure it’s organic and range-free." She adds.

For Anne Hathaway’s exercise regimen, she does yoga and runs thrice a week for 30 minutes to keep her heart, lungs and thighs fit. Anne loves to go jogging and credits her morning jogs for her strong legs.

Anne Hathaway’s exercise routine also includes resistance and strength training using 3-lb. dumbbells, crossovers, jumping jacks and push-ups for three or four sets a few times a week.

"I absolutely love being strong." Anne says with a smile."I love having a womanly body with curves and muscles. It’s exciting."
