Celebrity Weight Loss

Actress Renee Zellweger is no stranger to the drastic ways Hollwood stars undertake to get movie roles. The Academy Award Winning star has her workout and diet routine change from role to role, gaining weight infamously for Bridget Jones’ Diary and losing it rapidly just in time for White Oleander. But on her days off the set, Renee follows a healthy diet and even exercises regularly. She is at her fittest form and is one actress dedicated to her craft.

"I visit a gym daily, and eat healthily." She says. "I consume lots of salads, raw vegetables.. Very healthy."

The Zone diet is Renée Zellweger’s diet of choice, a plan that aims to maintain balance in the body’s hormones through consumption of balanced ratios of carbohydrates (40%), fats  (30%) and proteins (30%). The zone diet encourages a person to only consume foods that control the body’s insulin production.

Renée Zellweger’s diet plan limits her to eating a maximum of 500 calories for meal, and 100 calories for snacks. Some of the foods included in her diet are fresh vegetables, leafy green vegetables, fruits, nuts, ample protein intake, plus 8 glasses of water to keep her body well-hydrated.

A big part of Renée Zellweger’s exercise routine involves cardio work outs through hiking, running, walking, and jogging. Cardio exercises are actually a system of physical conditioning wherein there is a temporary increase both in respiration and cardiac rate. With every workout, the person is expected to burn around 300 to 600 calories. Cardio exercises also hasten the metabolic process and burns a lot of calories that greatly helps in weight loss.

"Losing that much weight is not a problem for me because I’ve always loved exercising and being active." she shares. "I eat really healthy, I don’t have a sweet tooth, and basically, I hate rich food."
