Chelsea Handler is still kicking ass in the sexy charts. The beautifully blonde, 36 year old star is the host of her very own talk show, Chelsea Lately, where she first noticed the pounds she’s been putting on. After a few months, Chelsea is now in fighting form, thanks to her diet and exercise routine, which may her shed the unwanted weight as fast as possible.
“It took me a long time to deprogram myself, to get rid of my unhealthy weight loss diet plans and flaky commitment to any kind of fitness exercise program,” Chelsea shares.
Chelsea Handler’s diet involves eating healthy foods and avoiding fast and yo-yo diets. She actually hired a nutritionist who suggests to her the foods she has to consume and to avoid as well.
For example, eating salads with 3 pounds of dressing isn’t healthy, and she should avoid eating any processed foods. Since Chelsea also loves drinking, her nutritionist recommends something which is a lot healthier.
“I told my nutritionist, ‘I’m not going to quit drinking. I love to hang out with my girlfriends and have cocktails and dinner; it’s how I relax. He explained that calorie-wise, vodka isn’t so bad, as long as you drink it with soda so knowing I could still have a drink made it easier to stick to my weight loss program,” she shares.
An example of Chelsea Handler’s diet plan on a typical day involves the following:
- Breakfast: Bowl of oatmeal mixed with a scoop of protein powder and a spoonful of ground flax seeds
- Snack: Turkey and arugula salad for a midmorning snack
- Lunch: Sushi
- Dinner: Green salad with turkey meat loaf
For Chelsea Handler’s exercise routine, she does Pilates which she finds interesting unlike yoga which she considers boring and going to the gym as annoying
. “It’s been the most gentle on my body,” she says. “I’m longer and leaner and much more graceful. I can honestly say it’s changed my body-and my life.” She likewise added, “I can honestly say Pilates exercise has changed my body and my life. I’m so happy to finally find the right fitness exercise for me.”
Unlike other celebrities, Chelsea Handler’s exercise routine doesn’t include any cardio exercises at the gym.
She shares, “I hate it when there are 50 treadmill fitness machines and I’m the only one there, but then someone just hops on one of the fitness machines right next to me! Hello!”
Aside from doing Pilates, Chelsea also does sprint exercises and fitness training together with her personal trainer.
“I like to mix up my fitness exercise program so I don’t get burned out,” she says.
