What not to eat to lose weight

I know many people that have succeeded to lose weight and maintain their new sexy look. And their big secret is that they have all changed their eating habits. I believe that all long term weight loss is possible only to the degree in which a person changes their eating habits. And the good news is that you don’t really have to deprive yourself of the joy of eating. There are plenty of healthy and tasty foods out there.

Changes should be made over time. You don’t have to stop eating your favorite foods right now or to never eat them again. All you have to do is make sure you eat only from time to time the foods you like that are unhealthy and fattening.

Here is a short list of foods you should not eat too often if you want to lose weight:

  • -sodas are extremely unhealthy and fattening because they contain lots of sugar and food additives. Try drinking fresh healthy juices instead.
  • -stop eating sweets. You can replace them with fruits. If the need of eating something sweet becomes unbearable eat some dark chocolate.
  • -stop eating pork meat and eat more chicken, turkey and fish meat. If you can you should grill the meat. For extra taste use spices and don’t be afraid to experiment with different combinations. Invent for yourself tasty recipes based on vegetables, fish, white meat, virgin olive oil and spices.
  • -never eat meat and potatoes or pasta at the same time.
  • -stop eating white bread. If you find you cannot stop eating bread at all eat 1 or 2 slices of whole wheat bread per day.
  • -find out what foods you eat contain hidden fats and stop eating them. As a starter list you should consider: cheeses, margarine and cold cuts.
  • -junk food is bad for you. That is why it is called junk food. Eat a healthy fruit instead.
  • -avoid eating after 18 o’clock. If you get hungry eat some fruits or a dietetic yogurt.
  • -do not take any weight loss pill without the recommendation of your personal medic. Some weight loss pills can really screw up your metabolism and creating a fat future for you.

If you change all your bad eating habits, you workout frequently and still there is no weight loss felt then you should go to a doctor. It is likely that your metabolism is really slow and you need to speed it up if you want to lose weight.
