Stop Being a Couch Potato If you Want to Lose Weight

Usually when you start a weight loss plan you go on a diet. Even if the diet is give to you by a professional nutritionist you still have to move your bum and exercise. Even the best personalized diet won’t help you lose as much weight in a short amount of time as working out frequently.

I am not saying that dieting doesn’t work. You can lose weight by dieting. But the weight loss process will be slow and not that enjoyable. If you use a drastic weight loss diet to lose weight fast you will regain it even faster when you go off the diet. Usually if you stop dieting you start gaining weight at an accelerated pace. Muscles burn more energy than fat. By dieting your body is also forced to consume your muscles in its desperate need of energy and resources. That is why you get fatter faster after a diet.

Combining a healthy diet with exercising is the best way to lose weight in my opinion. But you have to exercise. You have to get past the desire for fast results and create for yourself a stick workout schedule. Whatever it takes stick to it and soon you will see results.

We are all used to instant gratification. We expect that just after one workout to lose weight and start looking fitter. Well that just doesn’t happen in the real work. You didn’t get fat overnight so you can’t lose weight overnight. You have to do the effort required of you to lose weight. The good news is that you will succeed to lose weight faster than it took you to gain it. If it were the other way it would really suck.

You have to work out for 1 hour 4 times a week. You cannot fake working out and expect results. I see tens of people pretending to work out when I go to the gym. You have to feel a little tired and sweaty at the end of the workout. Even if you feel a little tired at the same time you will feel energized. I know I do.

A couch potato life is a slow and agonizing path toward death. You lose all you life watching tv or playing a videogame. Movement is life so start exercising more. That way you will lose weight and be healthier. I wish you luck.
