We live in the century of stress and speed. Often there are more pressing matters than food. When we feel we need something to eat we chuck something down. Heavy processed foods are easy to prepare and also tasty. Unfortunately those foods don’t really contain that many vitamins and minerals. Suffering of vitamin deficiency is very easy nowadays.

The nutritionists keep warning us of the unhealthy effects of eating lots of industrial processed foods. Many health problems are related to the lack of minerals and vitamins from your body.

How can you recognize the symptoms of vitamin deficiency? It isn’t that hard to establish and have a healthy nutritious diet. Unfortunately few are so lucky and have a balanced diet. Ideally you would eat lots of fruits and vegetables daily.

In the following paragraphs I will give you the mini version of the vitamin deficiency symptoms guide. Frequent mouth wounds are caused by a lack of iron, folic acid and vitamin B12 from your body.

Dried lips, even cracked are the symptoms of the lack of vitamin B2 and vitamin B6.

A reddish skin, irritated on the hands and legs are determined by the lack of some of the B vitamin complex, vitamin E and other essential acids.

Eczemas and dried skin are the symptoms of a lack of zinc and fatty acids.

If you are a woman who suffers from a very bad PMS syndrome you should try eating foods more rich in zinc, magnesium and vitamin B6.

A slow growing hair is the sign of a lack of iron and zinc.

Red eyes and tired eyes are due to a lack of vitamin A and vitamin B2 form the body.

The exfoliation of the nails are the symptom of the lack of iron, zinc and fatty acids from the body.

A pale complexion and anemia can be a symptom of the lack of iron, folic acid and vitamin B12.

If you are feeling tired all the time you should try eating more fresh foods. Avoid eating highly processed foods for a while and eat fresh fruits and vitamins.

If you find you have any of the previous symptoms you should consider eating foods containing more of the vitamins and minerals associated with them. That way you should be able to get rid of them. But if the symptoms persist it might not be a sign of vitamin deficiency. Go visit your doctor as soon as possible.

You might also consider taking food supplements to give your body all the vitamins and minerals it needs. Unfortunately vitamin and mineral supplements aren’t that well absorbed by your body as natural vitamins and minerals.
