LL Cool J’s Diet and Exercise Routine: Why Ladies Love Him

With 9 consecutive multi-platinum albums, LL Cool J is considered one of the few artists that brought rap from the underground to the mainstream. With the huge success of his songs like "I Need Love", "Around the Way Girl" and "Hey Lover", it’s pretty obvious how girls are suckers for men with cut abs and huge biceps, which LL is definitely famous for, thanks to his healthy eating and exercise habits.

"I eat right, I don’t eat junk food or any of that sort. I don’t drink, I work out." He says.

This diet is quite similar to the Atkin’s diet that allows the consumption of meats, cheeses, fats, and some green leafy vegetables. It makes sure that the consumption of carbohydrates are kept in minmum amounts and avoids the intake of any sugar, white flour, and starchy vegetables.

Furthermore, LL Cool J’s diet allows him to eat anything he wants as long as he consumes the allowable foods. This diet allows him to lose weight or maintain it in the ideal range. LL Cool J also doesn’t eat any junk foods and never drinks any alcoholic beverages.

For LL Cool J’s exercise routine, he works out daily with his personal trainer Dave Honigor. His routine includes the combination of free weight exercises, plyometrics, boxing workouts, calisthenics and endurance training.

The advantages of LL Cool J’s exercise routine is that it enables for a faster exercise, and keeps the cardiac rate up, burns a lot of fat, and also promotes muscle growth. Every circuit is done without any rest in between exercises. At the end of every circuit, 60 seconds of rest is done and then the circuit is then repeated.

The exercise routine includes three mini circuits wherein two are for the chest, one for the biceps, with every chest circuit done two times and the bicep circuit done three times. In total, the routine contains 7 circuits with 20 sets of exercise. It will approximately take 45 minutes for LL Cool J’s exercise routine to be done. He also runs the treadmill and boxing.
