Kim Cattrall’s Diet and Exercise Routines: An Inspiration for Youth

Kim Cattrall, best known for her stiletto- heeled character Samantha Jones of the HBO hit Sex and the City keeps her vibe humming with a body meant for sin. This 5 feet 7 inch actress, who turns 55 this year, has maintained her youthful good looks and trim physique. However, no matter how generous nature has been with her, Kim admits she also puts a lot of effort to look this stunning.

"I have to use diet tips because I love to eat. I stopped eating bread and drinking alcohol." Kim says. "You need to eat right to lose weight."

The goal of her diet is to look for a healthy balance between carbohydrates and fats and is divided into three phases wherein there are specific allowable foods, meal plans, and recipes. This eating plan also discourages the intake of highly processed and refined foods.

Still, proper dieting is not enough to lose weight and keep it of. For Kim Cattrall’s exercise routine, she works together with Gunnar Peterson, well-known celebrity trainer of Core Secrets fame. This program combines with Pilates to concentrate on toning the core postural muscles, deep abdominal muscles and muscles nearest the spin. Through this exercise routine, Kim is able to learn how to control her core through by integrating the trunk, pelvis and shoulder girdle.

Kim also includes Gyro-lates to her daily workout routine, a blend of machine-based Pilates, yoga, dance, swimming, and t’ai chi.

 “I do easy exercises to lose weight, as much as I can. If I don’t exercise, I feel sluggish. I try to do 30 minutes a day. If I can’t get to a gym, I walk. I find it a release.” She says. "There’s no reason for you not to exercise."
