After beating out 10,000 other contestants, winning the approval of the three judges and not to mention the hearts of a million voters, Kelly Clarkson became the very first American Idol. The 5 foot 4 Texan beauty has certainly gone a long way, but one thing never changed – she’s proud of her womanly curves and is intent on keeping them, by her healthy eating and exercise habits.

"I don’t do the whole diet thing, I just watch what I eat." She says.

Kelly-Clarkson.jpgKelly Clarkson’s diet is 100% organic and she actually has a personal chef to cook for her. The organic food diet is based on consuming organically grown foods and the avoidance of foods that consist of artificial sweeteners and other additives. 

For Kelly Clarkson’s exercise routine, she does kickboxing which is an activity that combines boxing and martial arts which gives aerobic benefits.

This kind of exercise routine burns a lot of calories and helps in the build up of muscles and at the same time, strengthening the muscles too.

This is actually considered a form of core training exercise and cardio exercise too as it burns 300 to 1,500 calories per hour.

Kelly Clarkson’s exercise routine also includes CrossFit, a program used by police academies and military special operations which is actually a blend of strength training and cardio exercise.

“I love it! It’s like boot camp,” she says. “You never work out more than 35 minutes, but it’s so intense. You do things like box jumps, then 50 sit-ups, then 50 squats and then running.”
