How to Keep Your Diet Especially During the Weekend

Regardless of how focused you are on losing weight and dieting, during the weekend there are many distractions that can break your focus. Breaking the rules of your diet during the weekend is really easy. This goes double if you go out with your friends during the weekend. Here are some tips you can use to get past the weekend without breaking your diet.

Plan your meals for the whole week in advance and buy all the necessary ingredients before the weekend. That way you won’t go grocery shopping in the weekend and get tempted by all those weekend food promotions and offers. Make sure your fridge is full of fruits, vegetables and nuts for a fast healthy snack.

Eat lots of raw vegetables and fruits: celery, pepper, broccoli, cauliflower, apples, pears, peaches, strawberries… Prepare fresh salads and drink lots of water. It is recommended that you eat your salad in small portions and drink a big glass of water before each meal. That way you will feel full faster.


Exercising is important for your weight loss success. A long walk with your loved one or even your friends is a great way to exercise during the weekend. Go to a park or you can even get outside the city and enjoy the wildlife. You should exercise at least 20 minutes daily.

Keep a journal with all the food you eat. Write down in detail everything you have eaten during the day. After a couple of days you will be able to observe and find out your eating habits and patterns. You will be amazed of the insight you might get form this simple exercise.

Get a friend to go on the same weight loss diet. Do whatever it takes to find someone to help you and share all the experiences of losing weight. Having outside support is essential if you want to achieve your weight loss goal. Every time you need a motivation boost call your weight loss partner for help. You will do the same for your weight loss partner when they need it.

If you are planning to go to a party were you will be served food eat less during the day. That way you will be able to eat something at the party. If you are following a very strict diet you can also take your own food to the party. It is a lithe eccentric but highly effective.

Create a schedule for all your daily meals. Establish fixed hours at which you will eat daily. Even if you have a busy day you can take a break and respect the times you assigned for eating. A meal schedule is really fabulous and helps you lose weight very fast.
