All your body is covered with skin. The health of your skin is very important. You have to take good care of it. You can use all kind of lotions and creams but if you don’t help your skin stay healthy by eating healthy food you won’t have a good looking skin.

Your skin deserves the same attention that your hair, nails… get. The best way to keep your skin healthy is to eat right. Healthy nutritious food is the key. If you have chaotic eating habits and if you eat foods that don’t give your body any essential nutrients you can’t be healthy for long. You should eat foods full of vitamins, minerals and proteins.

So cut down on carbohydrates. A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that a low carbohydrate diet improves the look of the face because it reduces the chances of acne.

Other skin problems and diseases are directly linked to an unhealthy nutrition. Skin rosacea can be caused by alcoholic beverages, spicy food, vinegar, coffee, liver and some dairies. Eczemas can become more problematic because of eating eggs, milk, fish, soya, alcohol and coffee.

The people that eat lots of vegetables daily, that eat virgin olive oil and reduce the consumption of sweet foods and dairies have a great looking skin and fewer wrinkles. To nourish your skin and to reduce the effects of aging the foods you eat must contain vitamin E, vitamin A, the B complex vitamins and vitamin C.

Don’t forget that one of the essential ingredient for a beautiful skin is water. A hydrated skin looks fabulous and has less wrinkles.
