Geri Halliwell’s Diet and Exercise Secrets: Easy Ways of Staying Fit

Geri Halliwell is not only famous for her days as Ginger Spice in the Spice Girls, she’s also famous for her dieting ways. Several years back, we’ve seen her weight fluctuate from plump to super skinny and back. However, with the help of a healthy diet and regular physical activity, she has spent the last few years sporting an ultra-fit body to complement her chic look.

"A lot of my body issues have settled down. I had a history of eating disorders, but now that I’m a mother, I want to be a good example to my child." Gerri shares. "I’m much more balanced than I was."

geri_halliwell.jpgGeri Halliwell’s diet today has given her more freedom in food choices. Instead of following a specific eating plan, Gerri just relies on portion control to keep her from overeating.

"I don’t have a strict diet anymore." She says. "I’m a petite person and if I eat relatively healthily I’ll stay that way.”

On a typical day Geri Halliwell’s diet would start with wholegrain oatmeal and sunflower seeds for breakfast, Quinoa with vegetables and lean chicken for lunch, rice cakes for dinner, and fruits during snack time.

However, Gerri says her real secret to maintaining an enviable frame is her workout routine. Geri Halliwell’s exercise regimen includes doing a lot of jogging, walking and yoga.

“I walk and I do yoga, it really helps." Gerri says. "It improves my flexibility and promotes relaxation. It keeps me on my toes."
