EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique is actually psychological acupuncture. All you do is tap gently on some pressure points while concentration one some feelings or thoughts and you can pretty much get rid of many annoying problems. One of them is cravings according to a recent study made by Dr Peta Stapleton.
According to the study done by Dr Stapleton the EFT technique used on the volunteers not only did it reduce their cravings, it also kept their craving in check for up to 6 months. That is pretty efficient in my opinion.
According to the study the EFT technique proved to be so effective at stopping cravings because it deals directly with the subconscious. This makes it so that the user doesn’t have to worry about having enough willpower to keep on fighting against the cravings. They just don’t think about their cravings anymore.
After just 4 two hour EFT sessions the food cravings of the subjects were severely reduced. They stopped feeling the same huge cravings for sweets or salty snacks which are to blame for a huge portions of our daily excess calories.
Dr Stapleton said the “Participants in the trial were surprised by how quickly the technique works – that it doesn’t take a lot of time to eliminate food cravings they may have had for many years” and that "Food cravings play a big role in people’s food consumption and ultimately their body weight. If we can beat the cravings without the need for willpower or conscious control of behaviour, then weight loss is also possible." Imagine being able to go on a healthy weight loss diet without having to struggle with your cravings all the time. It seems that all you have to do is some gentle tapping and creative thinking.
What is really interesting is that some of the participants had even forgotten their previous cravings problems until they were reminded of them at the 6 months scheduled appointment. I for one can’t wait to hear more on the EFT technique. If you can share some light on it or have any interesting ideas please share them in the comments below.
