The recommended daily dose of boron is not established because the ideal daily intake was not certainly valued. It is believed that a balanced diet, including at least five servings of fruits and vegetables, respond adequately to the needs of the body, which would be between 1.5 and 3 mg.

Plant foods such as cherries, apples, grapes, lettuce, beans and nuts, are good suppliers of boron.

• It seems that it stimulates the amount of estrogen and progesterone in postmenopausal women.
