3 energizing exercises to start your day

Most people when they wake up in the morning feel a crushing desire to oversleep. Sleep seems most appealing in the morning. We get up for a brand new day and what better way to start a day then with some light physical exercises that will energize you. Put on some energetic music and let’s start:

Always warm-up before doing the morning exercises

Open a window and let the cool fresh morning air inside the room. Breath in and out deeply a couple of times then you can start the little energizing workout. You should start with a light warm-up routines made up of easy exercises. That way all the muscles groups will be prepared for the 3 energizing exercises. You can start by rotating your head, then your shoulders. Step on toes around the room and do some light stretching exercises. All these should not take more than 5-7 minutes.

After the warm-up is done you can continue with squats, pushups and sit-ups. You don’t need any weights or other special fitness equipment to do these exercises.


Squats: are important exercises that put in motion a large part of your muscle mass. With you feet slightly apart you flex your knee and lower your upper body until your buttocks are parallel with the ground. You should not go lower. The you go the starting position, upright by extending your legs. It is very important that during the squats to keep your back straight. You should do 3 sets of 15-20 reps each.

Pushups: when doing pushups you must have a straight line running between your shoulders and knees. You lower your upper body by bending your elbows, but your belly must never touch the ground. By extending your arms you will come to the initial position. You should do 2 sets of 6-10 reps each.

Sit-ups: lie on your back with your knees bent and your soles on the floor. Put your palms behind your head. You breath in and lift your upper body from the ground. You will breathe out towards the end of the movement. Then you go back slowly to the initial position. You should do 3 sets of 15-20 reps each.

At the end of the 3 energizing exercises you should do some stretching exercises.

When you will finish doing all these physical exercises you will feel energized and ready to tackle any problems the day might throw at you.
